Dessert Items Needed!

Elementary school teachers face long days in the best of times. Twice a year, they face days even longer than most, as they share their students’ progress with parents. These days there is little time to eat. This year, our Outreach & Mission Ministry Team is coordinating a luncheon for the teachers and staff at Kendall Whittier Elementary (KWE) and catering meals for around 130 people.

Our catering does not include desserts, however, so If you wish to contribute to this cause, please consider preparing or purchasing something sweet.  You can drop off your goodies in the church Narthex this Sunday, May 6.  (Please label items “KWE teacher appreciation” so it’s not mixed in with the KWI Food Pantry items being collected that morning.)  You can also drop by the church office until  10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the 9^th.
