Book Study Group

Not to be confused with the College Hill Book Club, we have another small group called the Book Study Group. We select one or two books a year to read and discuss in depth over several monthly Tuesday evening sessions, which are usually held at the home of Sue Haskins.
Our most recent discussions were about How Jesus Became God by Bart Ehrman. Next, on March 24 and April 21, we will discuss The Gulen Movement by Helen Rose Ebaugh, which describes an arguably progressive Islamic movement that began in Turkey and has a strong presence in Tulsa. On Sunday, April 26 we will view a documentary about Fethullah Gullen and share dinner and discussion with members of Tulsa’s Turkish cultural center.
