Mission Fair and You

The Outreach and Mission Ministry Team seeks your wisdom.  Each year, we provide financial and resource support to organizations that leverage our funds wisely to bring forth the Kingdom of God.  Most of our proposed 2015 budget is ‘earmarked’ for causes long supported by College Hill, but we have $2,800 in unrestricted funds that we want you to help direct.  To get your feedback, we are holding a Mission Fair on Nov 23rd.  There, our own Cathy Elliot and the Presbytery’s Julie Burton will ‘staff’ booths explaining how five projects bring value to God’s people and are worthy of College Hill support.  Cathy’s projects are Community Foodbank of Eastern Oklahoma and Food for Kids Backpack Program. Julie gets World Food Program, Solar Under the Sun and Marion Medical Mission. We must pick one of Cathy’s and one of Julie’s.

Cathy and Julie will be at these booths during fellowship hour before and after service, They will offer literature and evangelical flair that informs you about each project. Each project will have some form of voting token – probably uniquely colored sticky notes.  Each participant picks one of the colors from Julie’s table and one from Cathy’s. You deposit that token in a soon-to-be named tamper proof vote collector that we will rent from Florida’s Hanging Chad’s Inc.

At stake is $1,400 in unrestricted funds for each of two causes. Please stop by the booths before and/or after service on the 23rd and help us wisely invest outreach and mission funds.
